I have started blogging multiple times in the past and abandoned it halfway through, or just after writing few posts. I don’t expect this time to be any different, but I still want to give it another try to see if I can keep doing.
So, what am I planning to write about?
Most of the time, this is where I get stuck. I want my blog to have a theme.
The first blog I started was about 16 years ago. It was a technical blog, and in the beginning, it was a lot of fun. I poured everything I was learning into my posts. Eventually, though, I ran out of ideas. I started copying content from other blogs, adding my own twist, and publishing it. I stopped soon after because it no longer felt fun or useful to me.
So, the first trap I want to avoid this time is feeling like my blog needs to have a specific theme.
The second time I started blogging, it was a personal blog where I wanted to write about anything that came to mind. But even then, I felt the need to make everything polished and useful to others.
That became the second trap: trying to project an image of perfection - the Instagram mindset.
It didn’t feel authentic. Blogging slowly became a burden: something I had to perform, rather than something I wanted to do.
So, what is different this time?
Nothing big.
I just want to write for myself, not for others.
